Founded in 1998 and based in Batam, Indonesia, PT Pintas Samudra operates passenger ferries between Berjaya Waterfront Ferry Terminal at Stulang Laut, Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and Batam Centre International Ferry Terminal. Our world is shaped by the people, ports and journeys that meet across the water.
Our BKI-classed fleet sails to international safety standards, with life jackets, life rafts and regular drills on every vessel.

- How early should I check in?
- Please check in at least 2 hours before departure. Check-in closes 30 minutes before departure.
- Do I need a passport to travel to Batam?
- A valid passport is required for every passenger.
- What is the baggage allowance?
- Up to 20 kg per passenger. Baggage above 20 kg is charged at the terminal.
- Can I get a refund on my ticket?
- Tickets are non-refundable. An unused ticket stays open for 90 days.
- Which seat classes are there?
- Economy and Business class.
- How long is the ferry from Johor to Batam?
- About 120 minutes between Batam Centre and Stulang Laut.
- What is not allowed on board?
- Pets and durian. All other items follow customs regulations.
- Is insurance included?
- Passenger insurance is included in every ticket.
